Russian attack on Ukrainian village kills at least 18 waiting for aid

At least 18 people waiting to receive humanitarian aid were killed in a Russian attack on the Ukrainian village of Komyshuvakha on Monday, according to BBC News. Five people were injured, and 27 were still missing after the attack.
Komyshuvakha is in the southern Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine. The regional head, Mykhailo Semikin, said at least nine 3,000-kilogram aerial bombs, which are dropped from aircraft, hit the village.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the first strike hit a local school used for humanitarian needs, and a second attack followed on the place where people were sheltering. He described the attack as "utterly horrific". Zelensky also said 18 people were killed in Russian bomb attacks on an aid centre and a shelter, as 2News reported.
Semikin said rescue teams were working at the scene, with people still under the rubble.
