Dancing With the Stars Takes a Trip to Disney, With a Broadway Twist

Disney Night on Dancing With the Stars season 35 put Disney stories on the dance floor, with routines drawn from the films and their stage adaptations. The Hollywood Reporter reported that the episode carried a Broadway twist, and that the singer and actor Cynthia Erivo joined the panel as guest judge.
Team dances returned for the night. Co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough each took part in a group performance. Eight celebrities were still in the competition: Tatyana Ali, Jenna Dewan, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Maura Higgins, Harry Shum Jr., Julia Stiles and Connor Wood.
The show works on a simple rule. Each episode, the couple with the lowest combined score from the judges and votes from viewers is eliminated. The week before, Horror Movie Night ended with two couples going home at once. Jackson Olson and Tyler Cameron were the pair eliminated, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cameron had been dancing with Sharna Burgess, as the Tallahassee Democrat reported.
For anyone who wants to catch up, the show airs on Mondays at 8/7c, which means 8pm Eastern and 7pm Central time, on ABC. It also streams on Disney+. Season 35 opened with 16 new celebrities, according to the show's ABC page. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough host, and Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli are listed as judges.
Viewers who missed the week can follow along through the couples still dancing. The next result depends on the same mix of judges' scores and votes, so the field narrows again after each episode.
