Queen Camilla's £4 Liquorice Snack Spotted on Caribbean Tour

Queen Camilla arrived in Saint John's, Antigua, with a packet of RJ's liquorice tucked into a car door, according to HELLO! magazine. The magazine said the sweets typically retail for £3.99, and its headline called them a £4 snack.
The Queen is on the Caribbean leg of the King and Queen's Autumn Tour. The Royal Family's tour page lists visits to The Bahamas, Guyana and Antigua, and gives the dates as Tuesday 27 October to Wednesday 4 November 2026. Reuters reported that the King visited The Bahamas and Guyana before going to Antigua and Barbuda, where the Queen joined him.
In Antigua, the Queen attended a church service in Saint John's marking the 45th anniversary of the country's independence and celebrating the Commonwealth, the family of nations that grew out of the British Empire. HELLO! reported that she wore a turquoise dress by Anna Valentine. She also carried a Bottega Veneta top-handle bag, which the magazine valued at £2,200.
The magazine also noted an earlier sighting. It said King Charles was seen with the same RJ's liquorice car snack when he arrived for the first show of London Fashion Week in February.
HELLO! spoke to Charlotte Faure Green, a nutritionist registered with BANT, the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine. She said liquorice contains a compound called glycyrrhizin. She added that eating large amounts of liquorice regularly may raise blood pressure and lower potassium, a mineral the body needs for nerve and muscle function. She was speaking about liquorice in general, not about the Queen.
The Autumn Tour is due to finish on 4 November.
