Thomas Lennon, Emily Bett Rickards and Jolie Handler have joined the cast of Quitters, a new series about addiction. The announcement came from Deadline on 3 November 2026.

Quitters is a dramedy, meaning a show that mixes comedy with serious drama. It runs eight half-hour episodes. Production has already started in Utah, and the series will be distributed by Angel.

The show stars Craig Ferguson and Megyn Price. Ferguson plays Nick McTavers, a former heavy-metal star who now runs a recovery centre called Unplugged. Price plays Liza, an upbeat soccer mom who falls into opioid addiction. Lennon plays Brian, Liza's husband.

Rickards plays Mallory, a young patient at the centre. Handler plays Chloe, the couple's teenage daughter. Lonzo Liggins, John Novosad and Denzel Papillon have also joined the cast.

Dave Parkin wrote and created the series. Darrin "Fletch" Fletcher and Chet Thomas direct it, and they produce through their FletChet Entertainment banner, a production company they run together. Tristan Whitman is director of photography, Eric Wilson is production designer and Jayme Bohn is costume designer.

The executive producers are Chet Thomas, Darrin Fletcher, Eric Handler, Chase Vergari, Ibrahim Mohammed, Dave Parkin, Edward Neumeier, Rob Gibbs, HR Brown and Alema Harrington.

A cast announcement is often the first public sign that a show has moved from paper to the set. For Quitters, that means a working crew is now in Utah, filming the story of a recovery centre and the families around it. Each name on the list is a person with a call sheet to follow.

The eight-episode format is short by the standards of many streaming series, which often run ten episodes or more. That keeps the production compact, though the cast and crew lists show it is still a big undertaking.
