Robbie Williams performed a mini-set at Flemington Racecourse on Tuesday 3 November, the day of the 2026 Melbourne Cup. Billboard reported that the set opened with "Feel" and also included "Rock DJ," "Angels" and "Let Me Entertain You."

The Victoria Racing Club, which runs the Melbourne Cup Carnival, billed the Flemington appearance as his first Australian concert before his BRITPOP World Tour. The club listed a pre-Cup ceremony slot from 2.15pm to 2.30pm and a showtime from 5.45pm to 7.00pm, a 75-minute performance, in Melbourne local time. Nine described the pre-Cup show as the biggest ever staged at Flemington before the race.

After the race, Williams played a full set at The Elms Live Stage. It included covers of songs by Oasis, Midnight Oil, Shania Twain and INXS, according to Billboard.

The race itself went to Point Of Law, who won the 166th Melbourne Cup. The win was a trifecta, a bet that picks the first three finishers in the right order, for trainer Ciaron Maher.

More than 97,000 race fans attended the day. Billboard reported that this was the biggest Melbourne Cup day crowd since 2016.

The Flemington show is a warm-up of sorts for the tour. Williams' BRITPOP World Tour of Australia and New Zealand is scheduled to begin on 7 November at Adelaide Oval. According to his official website, he then plays Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on 11 November and Accor Stadium in Sydney on 14 November.

Williams is 52 years old. Nine notes that he is a two-time Grammy nominee.

Behind a day like this sits a long list of practical work. Sound and lighting crews, stage staff and transport teams all have to be in place for a set in front of a crowd of that size, and for a race meeting that runs on a fixed timetable. For the people doing that work, the day ends with a stage to take down before the next show starts.
