Trump Blames Others After Democrats Sweep 2026 Midterm Races

President Donald Trump blamed others for losses in key races in a Truth Social post on Tuesday night. Democrats swept key races in the 2026 midterm elections, according to NPR.

Trump blamed Fox News, the cable news network, for Republican losses in the 2026 midterms, according to The Washington Post and CNN.

As Republican losses mounted, Trump took aim at Republicans, according to the BBC.

Truth Social has been a channel for Trump's statements on other matters, too. In January, Trump said in a Truth Social post that the immigration operation was central to his 2024 presidential win, according to Reuters.

In May, Reuters reported that many staffers on the National Security Council, the White House body that handles national security policy, kept Trump's Truth Social account open on a dedicated screen to watch for policy signals, according to Reuters.
