Sombr Chips His Tooth on Stage Again, and Turns It Into a Joke

Sombr chipped a tooth on stage on Nov. 3, 2026, during his concert at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, and he made the moment part of the show.
According to Billboard, the singer, whose birth name is Shane Boose, said he had banged his water bottle against his tooth as he went to take a sip. He told the crowd, "I chipped my tooth again," then announced that "Thombr" had returned. Thombr is the nickname fans use for his chipped-tooth alter ego.
He kept going with a joke. "Make some noise for me," he said. "I'm really tough. Rock star."
The chips have become a running thread in his concerts. The first came in March 2025, when he chipped a tooth while singing "Back to Friends." In November 2025, after performing "Come Closer" at a concert in Brooklyn, he chipped it again, which People reported as his third time.
Sombr is currently on his You Are the Reason Tour, with dates scheduled through summer 2027. His debut album, I Barely Know Her, reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200, the weekly US chart that ranks the most popular albums by sales and streams.
Most artists would rather not talk about a broken tooth in front of a few thousand people. Sombr has done the opposite. Each time, he has handed the moment back to the crowd, and the crowd has answered with a cheer.
