Five Staff Out at Warner Records Nashville, Including Top Marketing and Publicity Executives

Five people lost their jobs at Warner Records Nashville on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, including the label's executive vice president of marketing. MusicRow broke the news, and Billboard has since reported the full list.
The most senior name on the list is Victoria "Torie" Mason. She joined Warner in Nashville in 2011 as director of research and analytics. The label promoted her to senior vice president of strategic marketing and analysis in 2021, and in 2024 she was given oversight of its newly rebranded marketing and digital departments.
Fount Lynch, senior vice president of publicity, is also leaving. Publicity is the work of getting artists written about in newspapers, magazines and online outlets. Lynch joined Warner Nashville in 2022, after earlier roles at Red Light, Sony Music and Universal Music Group.
Radio is the other team hit hardest. Anna Cage, vice president of radio, has been with the label since 2014 and moved into her most recent role in 2022. Her department pitches songs to radio stations, which decide what gets played on air. Kayla Burnett, regional manager of radio, is also among those laid off.
The fifth person is Jenna Johnson, West Coast manager of Warner Artist Relations, the team that works most directly with artists and their management.
Behind each title is a working life. Radio and publicity staff often spend months building a single campaign, calling stations and writing pitches, long before a song reaches a listener. Marketing and analytics teams track how songs are doing and decide where money goes. When those roles disappear, the work does not stop, but it has to be picked up by people who are already busy.
Warner Records is one of the three major record companies, alongside Universal Music Group and Sony Music, and its Nashville division focuses on country and related music. Five exits in one day is a sizeable change for a single team, and it lands on people who built careers in the same building.
