Seven parties take part in TVNZ's final televised election debate

Seven political parties took part in TVNZ's final televised election debate on 5 November 2026. The programme, the Q+A People's Debate, was hosted by Jack Tame and aired at 7pm, according to Stop Press.
The questions came from voters. 1News reported that voters set the questions for the seven-party debate. National deputy leader Nicola Willis, Labour campaign chairperson Kieran McAnulty and ACT leader David Seymour were among those taking part.
Earlier in the campaign, TVNZ hosted a Multi-Party Debate in October. Rawiri Waititi, David Seymour, Chlöe Swarbrick, Winston Peters and Qiulae Wong took part in that event, according to 1News.
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Labour leader Chris Hipkins also met in a debate in October, the only one-on-one Leaders Debate between the two. 1News covered that event.
