Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor speak regularly, a spokesperson for Ferguson told HELLO!. The spokesperson said the pair have always had, and still have, "unity as co-parents and co-grandparents."

The two former spouses lost their royal titles on 30 October 2025. Andrew, the Duke of York's name before that, was stripped of his royal status over his ties to the American financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to Yahoo Entertainment. Both now use the surname Mountbatten-Windsor, the name the royal family adopted for its non-royal branch. Titles are a formal matter. They are set by royal letters patent, the formal written instrument through which the sovereign grants or removes a style or title.

The family has five grandchildren between them. August, Ernest and Adelaide Brooksbank are the children of Princess Eugenie. Sienna and Athena are the daughters of Princess Beatrice. Adelaide, Eugenie's third child, was born on 3 August in Lisbon, Portugal.

Ferguson and Andrew were both seen together in public in late October, though not with each other. Ferguson was photographed in London at a memorial service for her former boyfriend Paddy McNally. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, along with their husbands, were with her.

Where each of them lives has also changed. HELLO! reports that Ferguson is believed to be living in the Home Counties, the counties around London, as she readjusts to life in England. Andrew now lives at Marsh Farm, after leaving Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate.
