Chizha Mount Ling 2 Pro Adds a Built-In Recorder to a Handheld Dock

A handheld gaming dock now comes with a recorder built in. The Chizha Mount Ling 2 Pro has a capture card that can record gameplay at up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, according to GameSpot, which published its hands-on report on 5 November 2026.
A capture card is a small device that copies whatever appears on screen so it can be saved as video. The Mount Ling 2 Pro also has a bottom slot for an NVMe solid-state drive, a fast type of storage, of up to 4TB. That gives creators somewhere to keep their footage. A front display shows the output resolution and how much power the dock is drawing.
The capture-card version costs US$150 as a Kickstarter pledge. Kickstarter is a crowdfunding site where backers pay before a product is manufactured. The same version will cost US$250 at retail, according to GameSpot. A base model without the Pro name was offered at an early-bird Kickstarter price of US$109, as Tom's Hardware reported on 3 November 2026.
Compatibility depends on the device. GameSpot's testing found the dock works well with PC gaming handhelds, including the Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X. The internal storage drive, however, works only with PC handhelds. It does not work with the Nintendo Switch 2.
GameSpot also found problems with the Switch 2. Senior video producer Jean-Luc Seipke reported that colours looked washed out compared with the official Switch 2 dock when shown on a Samsung TV. On a portable monitor, the colours looked consistent. GameSpot also reported that the upscaling smoothing, a feature that sharpens lower-resolution games to fit a bigger screen, does not trigger correctly on the Mount Ling 2 Pro. As a result, games that are not natively 4K look worse than they do through the official dock.
The creators told GameSpot that the colour issue may come from firmware, the built-in software that controls the hardware, and that they are trying to fix it. No new date for a fix has been given.
The Kickstarter page describes the product as bringing docking, capture and expandable storage into one creator workflow. It calls the dock "The World's 1st Smart Creator Dock." Dockcase, the company behind it, promotes the product on its website with a link to order through Kickstarter.
For anyone planning to use the dock with a Switch 2, the reported colour and upscaling issues are the details to check. For PC handheld owners, the recording and storage features are the main draw.
