Survival thriller In Tandem lines up sales team ahead of the American Film Market

Ultimate Media Group will handle international sales for In Tandem, a survival thriller starring Emile Hirsch and Benjamin Norris, according to Deadline. WME Independent will take the film's domestic sales. Domestic means the United States and Canada, and international means every other territory.
The story follows two estranged high school friends. Neither has real climbing experience, yet they set out to summit a mountain together. Hirsch also makes his screenwriting debut on the project, which is directed by Luc Walpoth.
Two well-known climbers appear in cameo roles. Alex Honnold and Brette Harrington both show up on screen in the film.
Sales will launch at the American Film Market, known as AFM, the Santa Monica gathering where distributors and buyers look at independent films before deciding whether to bring them to cinemas, television or streaming services. In Tandem will premiere for buyers there.
The film was produced by Giovanni James Guidotti for Giovanni Entertainment and by Dwjuan Fox for Decipher Entertainment. Mark Korshak and Jijo Reed are executive producers. Giovanni Entertainment fully financed the project, which means it covered the whole budget.
Filming took place in the mountains of Oregon and Montana. Deadline reported in September 2025 that the shoot had wrapped, and the production has since finished post-production, the stage where editing, sound and visual effects are completed.
For Ultimate Media Group, led by Jason Buckley, this is a second project with Giovanni Entertainment. The two companies previously worked together on Ping, which stars Megan Lawless.
The sales push sets up a busy few weeks in the independent film market. Buyers who attend AFM will be the first to see the finished film and decide how far it travels.
