It Gets Worse Arrives on Paramount+ This Friday

Paramount+ is set to stream It Gets Worse from Friday, 6 November. The comedy was created by Leo Reich, who also stars in it.
The show follows three friends in their twenties who live in London. They are also former roommates, so the series looks at how they cope with the years after they have moved out and moved on. The Playlist describes it as a quarter-life crisis comedy, a label for the anxious, messy stretch of life that often falls between school and settling down.
Reich plays Ethan. Emily Fairn plays Abi, and Olive Gray plays Sam. The wider cast includes Zadie Smith, who also narrates, along with Sean Delaney, India Mullen, Vicki Pepperdine, Emmeline Downie and Dane Williams. Andrew Scott and Lena Dunham also appear, according to The Playlist's trailer coverage.
The series is made by A24, the American film and television company, together with Britain's Channel 4 and Canada's Crave, the streaming service. Co-production means several companies share the cost and the rights, so the show can reach viewers in more than one country.
The Guardian has called it a sitcom about surviving your twenties, a reminder that the show's focus is ordinary life rather than big set pieces.
For Paramount+ subscribers, the show arrives on the same day as its launch on the platform. Viewers outside the markets where the partners operate will find it on Paramount+ according to the service's own listings.
Reich is the name to know if you are new to the show. He wrote it, he stars in it, and he is the reason the three friends have a voice that the cast is built around.
