Live Nation Reports Record 61 Million Fans in Third Quarter of 2026

Live Nation says a record 61 million fans attended its events in the third quarter of 2026, the three months ending 30 September. Billboard reported the figure with the company's earnings on Thursday, 5 November.
The company, which calls itself the largest live entertainment company in the world in its annual filing, also reported $10.1 billion in revenue for the quarter. That is up 19% on the same period last year. Its concerts business brought in a record $8.7 billion. Analysts had expected revenue of nearly $9.57 billion, according to a Yahoo Finance preview published on 3 November.
Operating income, the money left after running costs are paid, came to $892 million. Adjusted operating income, a company measure that strips out certain one-off items, rose 14% to $1.14 billion.
The growth was spread across regions. Concert attendance in North America rose 13%. International audiences grew by nearly 30%. Live Nation's Venue Nation division hosted 26 million fans, up 17%. September set an all-time high for attendance at its amphitheatres, the open-air venues that host many summer tours.
Ticketmaster, the company's ticketing arm, grew revenue 9% to $870 million. Its adjusted operating income rose 10% to $316 million. Sponsorship revenue, the money brands pay for naming rights and promotions, reached $506 million, up 14%. About 65% of that came from outside the United States and Canada... (correction: from international markets).
The forward numbers are strong too. Ticket sales in October 2026 were up 20% from a year earlier. Live Nation has now sold 170 million tickets through October, up 13%, which is already ahead of its full-year total for last year. The company expects to welcome nearly 180 million fans in 2026.
Event-related deferred revenue, money collected in advance for shows that have not yet taken place, reached a record $3.8 billion. That figure matters because it is cash the company holds against shows still to come. The company also says it is on track to open or acquire 10 venues with more than 3,000 seats by the end of 2026.
For fans, the headline is simple: more people went to more shows, and more of them came from outside North America. Every one of those attendance figures also stands for a stage crew, a bus driver, a security team and a box office clerk who worked the night. Growth on this scale tends to be measured in people as much as in dollars.
Live Nation's results are its own figures, reported in its earnings release. The company's concerts and ticketing businesses are seasonal, with the second and third quarters usually the busiest, so the year-to-date numbers will look different from this quarter's totals.
