Enhanced Group, the New York-listed live entertainment company that trades under the ticker ENHA, has agreed to buy a controlling stake of about 77% in DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG, a Berlin-based concert promoter and ticketing company. The deal was announced on 5 November 2026. A controlling stake is a holding large enough to steer a company's decisions.

The price is reported in two currencies. Billboard says Enhanced will pay $8 per share and that the transaction values DEAG at $115 million. Enhanced's announcement through Business Wire gives the value as €4.00 per DEAG share.

DEAG is one of the older names in the business. Professor Peter Schwenkow founded the company in 1978. It was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange from 1998 until 2021, employs more than 500 people and operates in more than five countries. Billboard reports that it organises more than 6,000 live events a year, which covers concerts, shows and other ticketed performances.

The companies describe the purchase as a first step. Enhanced plans to look at ways to raise its ownership of DEAG, potentially up to 100%. Markus Breitenecker will lead DEAG as incoming chief executive. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, which means it is still pending for now.

Alongside the acquisition, Enhanced is running a concurrent $15 million PIPE. That stands for private investment in public equity, a share sale to selected investors rather than to the open market. The announcement ties the two together, and it is the first time the PIPE has been mentioned in connection with the DEAG purchase.

The two companies are not strangers to each other. Investing.com reports that Enhanced and DEAG share a controlling shareholder, the German entrepreneur Christian Angermayer.

DEAG has also been tidying up its own holdings. On 23 October 2026, it acquired the remaining 25.1% stake in handwerker promotion e. gmbh from that company's founder and managing director, giving DEAG full ownership.

Enhanced has its own share news this week. On 2 November 2026, it said that a 60% reduction in shares was due to come out of lock-up on 8 November 2026. A lock-up is an agreement by shareholders not to sell for a set period. Key shareholders have extended their lock-up to May 2027, so fewer shares will be free to trade on that date.

For the people who work in the business, the practical effects of this deal are still some months away. Promoters, ticket buyers and the staff who build and run DEAG's events will see whatever changes follow once the transaction closes.
