Anthony Albanese is expected to meet Donald Trump, Narendra Modi and Sanae Takaichi in the Philippines later this month, after first attending the COP31 climate summit in Turkey.

According to The Guardian, Albanese will fly to Antalya on Tuesday, 10 November, before heading on to the Philippines for talks with Southeast Asian leaders. The Quad, the grouping whose members are Albanese, Trump, Modi and Takaichi, is scheduled to hold a leaders' summit in Manila later in November. Albanese is also scheduled to visit China after the Philippines.

The meetings come after the US midterm congressional elections, which were held on Tuesday, 3 November.

COP31 runs in Antalya from 9 to 20 November. Turkey is hosting the talks, while Australia leads the negotiations among governments, under a formal agreement reached in November 2025, Reuters reported at the time.

Only 77 heads of state or government, meaning national leaders, are scheduled to address the summit, according to Climate Change News. Leaders' addresses are set for 11 and 12 November.

China's Vice President Han Zheng will travel to Türkiye between 6 and 12 November to attend the Antalya Leaders' Summit at COP31, according to a Chinese government news release.
