Fox Corp. has closed its $22 billion acquisition of Roku, the company behind the Roku streaming devices and platform. The deal also brings a round of leadership changes, reported by Deadline on 6 November 2026.

Two of the best-known names on the Roku and Tubi side will not join Fox. Charlie Collier, who had been president of Roku Media, and Anjali Sud, the former chief executive of Tubi, are both leaving the deal behind. Sud will stay on for a while to help hand over to Pete Distad.

Distad now oversees Tubi, the free service supported by advertising, and Frndly TV, a subscription streaming service that Roku owned. Mike Bidgoli has been promoted to president of Tubi, reporting to Distad. Mustafa Ozgen will take over from Anthony Wood as chief executive of Roku.

Wood, who founded Roku, will also join the Fox board of directors, according to Variety. He and Paul Cheesebrough now serve as co-chairs of Fox Digital Platforms, a newly formed group. Cheesebrough has been given a wider remit.

Other departures include Chris Handman, Roku's senior vice president and general counsel, and Robyn Peterson, an executive vice president at AdRise. Advertising sales across the Fox portfolio will still report to Jeff Collins, Fox's president of advertising sales.

The deal was first announced on 15 June 2026. Both company boards approved it unanimously, and it needed shareholder approval from each side. Fox shares fell 18% in the wake of the announcement, as Deadline reported at the time. The companies had expected the deal to close in the first half of 2027, so the completion has come earlier than that timetable.

For anyone who streams on Tubi or Roku, the names at the top have shifted, and the people running those services now report into a single Fox structure.
