Indonesia's Falcon Picks Up Swiss Labour Drama "Enjoy Your Stay"

Indonesian distributor Falcon has acquired "Enjoy Your Stay," a Swiss labour drama, and will give it an Indonesian premiere at Jakarta World Cinema, Variety reported.
The film follows Luz, an undocumented Filipina cleaner working at a luxury ski resort in Switzerland. Mercedes Cabral plays Luz, and Alexis Manenti co-stars. Dominik Locher, who also directed "Goliath," and Honeylyn Joy Alipio wrote and directed it together.
The film was produced by Close Up Films, with JBA Production as co-producer. Be For Films, a sales company based in Brussels, is handling sales. Sales companies sell a film to cinemas and broadcasters in other countries, so their role often decides which audiences see a film and when.
"Enjoy Your Stay" began its festival run at the Berlin Film Festival, where it had its world premiere in February in the Panorama section. It then had its Asian premiere at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival in the Philippines. Locher and Alipio first met at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, according to Variety.
The Indonesian premiere will take place at Jakarta World Cinema, which opened on October 31 with in-person screenings at CGV cinemas. The 2026 edition lists 207 films from 69 countries, and the festival has expanded to Bandung and Malang for the first time, Variety reported in September. The film is listed in the festival's Spotlight Asia section, and its listing gives a running time of 1 hour 39 minutes.
The film will screen publicly in Switzerland on November 22, Variety reported. No Indonesian release date has been announced.
Falcon is not a newcomer to the business. In 2020, Variety reported that Falcon Pictures had joined Lionsgate's Globalgate Consortium, a group that works with the US studio on films across several markets. Falcon has produced the Indonesian films "Warkop DKI Reborn 1" and the two "Dilan" titles, "Dilan 1990" and "Dilan 1991."
The deal arrives as Indonesia works to build its profile in global film. Variety reported in May that Indonesia is targeting Country of Honor status at the Cannes Film Festival in 2028. In October, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo opened the Jakarta Film Summit by pitching the city as a regional film hub.
For Locher and Alipio, the film's path continues. Variety reported in February that the pair are working together on their next project, called "Partner Zone."
