The hit romance series Heated Rivalry has taken $1.4 million at the box office from 945 theatres, according to Variety. The figure was reported on 8 November 2026. It is the first cinema release for a show that most viewers know from the small screen.

The show came to the big screen as a limited theatrical release, meaning a run in selected cinemas rather than a wide opening across the country. The run was scheduled from 6 November through 30 November. Regal Entertainment is the distributor credited for the gross, which Variety attributes to it. Each showtime cost $9.99 per ticket.

The screenings bring together all six episodes of Season 1 in one cinema presentation, according to ABC News, which reported the plan in October. The series is based on Rachel Reid's "Game Changers" book series. Hudson Williams plays Shane Hollander and Connor Storrie plays Ilya Rozanov.

Before the doors opened, the run had already sold about $1 million in presales, meaning tickets bought ahead of the screenings. That figure comes from Inc., published on 4 November 2026. The same report put the release at more than 900 theatres in North America.

The series first reached viewers in the United States on HBO Max in November 2025. Its move into cinemas is a second life for the same story, and for the cast and crew who made it. Cinema runs like this one often sit alongside streaming, not in place of it, so the next viewing step for the series is worth watching.

For fans, the practical point is simple. The run is set to end on 30 November, so anyone who wants to see all six episodes on a big screen has a limited window. Anyone who prefers to watch at home can still find the series on HBO Max, where it first premiered.

What the box office figure does not show is how many people bought a ticket, since the $1.4 million total does not give an audience count.
