Jackson Koivun won the 3M Open on Sunday at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota, finishing at 25 under par for a three-shot victory over Scottie Scheffler. It was Koivun's first PGA Tour win — and only his third tournament since turning professional (The Guardian).

Scheffler did everything he could to chase him down. The world-class American shot a 63 in the final round, making birdie at three consecutive holes to start the back nine and adding two more at the 16th and 18th. Not a single bogey on his card either. The putt that settled it came at the 16th. Koivun made birdie there to push his lead back to three strokes with two holes to play. After four days of careful work, one swing can undo everything — but Koivun gave nothing back.

What stands out is how unflustered Koivun looked. A 54-hole lead, in your third pro start, with Scheffler charging hard on the back nine — that is the sort of Sunday squeeze that has undone far more experienced players.
