Too Lost Brings Independent Music Catalog to Roblox, Opening Thousands of Tracks to Game Creators

Independent music distributor Too Lost has partnered with Roblox to make thousands of its distributed tracks available to the gaming platform's creators, giving developers licensed music to drop into games, jukeboxes, and background audio systems.
The partnership was announced on Monday, July 27, via a post on the Roblox developer forum, with further detail reported by Music Business Worldwide on July 28 (Music Business Worldwide). The Too Lost catalog — spanning hip-hop, pop, electronic, rock, and alternative — is now live on the Roblox Creator Store, the marketplace where developers source assets for their games.
The launch roster includes names across several genres: The All-American Rejects, A$AP Ferg, Teddy Swims, Alex Warren, 1nonly, Jessie Reyez, Mach-Hommy, Quavo, Royel Otis, Smokepurpp, and Luke Chiang. Roblox developers can integrate these songs through sound objects, jukeboxes, and background music systems — the standard audio tools inside the platform's building environment.
Roblox is also rolling out a related feature: creator-uploaded songs now appear on game details pages, where players can hear a 15-second preview before entering a game. That change, noted in the same developer forum post, means music is now part of how a game presents itself to potential players, not just what plays once you are inside.
Too Lost is a New York-based music distribution company — a service that gets independent artists' releases onto streaming platforms and digital stores — founded in 2020 by CEO Gregory Hirschhorn. The company serves more than 450,000 artists, labels, and other clients, and distributes across more than 480 music stores and services. Its yearly turnover topped $100 million in 2025, up 130% year-over-year, according to Music Business Worldwide.
The Roblox deal follows a period of rapid expansion for the distributor. Months before this announcement, Too Lost secured a nine-figure strategic investment led by GoldState Music — founded by music executive Charles Goldstuck — and private equity firm TA Associates. That backing preceded the company's entry into the gaming space.
Jessica Meehan, Head of Music Partnerships at Roblox, is named in the Music Business Worldwide report as the platform-side figure connected to the deal. Warner Music Group, one of the three major record companies, has previously backed Roblox's parent company — a detail that places this independent-distributor partnership within a platform already connected to the major label system.
For Roblox's millions of creators, the practical effect is straightforward: a wider pool of licensed songs they can legally embed in their games without sourcing audio themselves. For the independent artists distributed by Too Lost, it opens another surface where their music can reach listeners — in this case, players encountering songs inside virtual spaces rather than on a streaming app.
