Irish comedian Joanne McNally has signed a deal with Netflix for her debut hour-long comedy special, titled Pinotphile, with a worldwide release on the streaming platform set for 2027 (Deadline).

The special will be taped at Town Hall in New York City as part of the New York Comedy Festival. The recording is scheduled for Saturday, 7 November at 6 p.m. Matthew Vaughan of Rotten Science and Rick Hughes of Off the Kerb are attached as producers (Deadline).

Pinotphile is already a familiar title to McNally's live audiences. She has performed the show on the international comedy circuit, including at the Sydney Comedy Festival and at Brighton Dome, before the Netflix deal brings it to screens worldwide.

McNally arrives at the Netflix deal with substantial touring credentials. Her previous show, The Prosecco Express, sold over 260,000 tickets worldwide and earned Ticketmaster Ireland's Comedy Event of the Year after a record-breaking 78-show run in Dublin (Deadline). She co-hosts the podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, which reaches over 2.5 million listeners each month, and is a cast member on the upcoming season of BBC One's Celebrity Traitors (Deadline).

Her first nationwide US tour kicks off in Seattle in September, ahead of the November taping in New York (Deadline). The tour gives American audiences a chance to see her live before the special lands on Netflix.

For a comedian who built her career on Irish and UK stages and podcast audiences, the Netflix deal puts Pinotphile in front of a global subscriber base in a single release window. The special joins a Netflix comedy slate that already includes hour-long sets from performers across the US, UK and beyond — meaning McNally's work will sit alongside an international field when it premieres in 2027.

The 7 November taping at Town Hall will determine which performance makes the final cut. Until then, McNally has a US tour to open and a series of Celebrity Traitors to film.
