The Royal Shakespeare Company has released footage from its West End production of Cyrano de Bergerac, giving audiences a glimpse of Adrian Lester in the title role at the Noël Coward Theatre. The released clips include two scenes from the production, which transferred to London's West End — the commercial theatre district where subsidised and regional hits often seek a wider audience — in June 2026. What's On Stage published the footage release on 29 July.

Lester plays Cyrano, the swordsman-poet with the famously large nose, opposite Susannah Fielding as Roxane. Both actors are reprising their roles from the production's original run at the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, where it played from 27 September to 15 November 2025. The adaptation is by director Simon Evans and Debris Stevenson, working from Edmond Rostand's 1897 play.

The production began West End performances on 13 June 2026 and runs at the Noël Coward Theatre until 5 September. The venue is operated by Delfont Mackintosh Theatres, one of the major commercial theatre owners in London. The transfer is presented by Wessex Grove, Gavin Kalin Productions and the Royal Shakespeare Company — a partnership between commercial producers and the RSC that is standard practice when a subsidised-house production moves into the West End.

Lester and Fielding appeared on the What's On Stage podcast ahead of the West End transfer to discuss the production. The show has been characterised as a five-star production by What's On Stage.

The RSC had previously announced full casting for the production through an official press release. The company also published a trailer for the show on its website.

With the production now in its final weeks, the released footage offers a chance for audiences who have not yet booked to see what the staging looks like before the run closes on 5 September.
