Tom Holland says he is ready to host Saturday Night Live. He just needs the show to actually be on air.

Speaking on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers in July 2026, Holland revealed that he told the Sony marketing team at the start of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tour, "I'm ready to host SNL." Meyers, a former SNL head writer and Weekend Update anchor, apparently moved to ease that worry during Holland's Late Night appearance. He introduced the actor to the cue-card handler who works on both Late Night and SNL — the same person Holland would be reading from if he hosted. It is a small gesture with a practical point: the person holding the cards is the same person whether you are on a talk show or the SNL stage.

Holland has never hosted SNL. He has appeared as a guest in sketches, including a 2017 episode hosted by his Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, but the full hosting slot — a monologue, multiple sketches, and a week of live rehearsal at Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center — has not yet been his.

SNL typically returns from its summer hiatus in late September or early October. No hosting announcement involving Holland has been made by NBC or SNL producer Lorne Michaels.
