Kanye West has reached a settlement with his former assistant Lauren Pisciotta, who accused him of sexual assault, sex trafficking, stalking, and wrongful termination, according to court documents obtained by USA Today and reported on July 29, 2026.

The settlement was reached on July 23 and described in court documents as an "unconditional settlement," according to USA Today and confirmed by Billboard. The terms were not disclosed. Pisciotta's attorney, Arick Fudali, told USA Today: "The matter has been resolved." Billboard confirmed Fudali provided that statement on Wednesday, July 29. A representative for West did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone's request for comment.

Pisciotta worked for West from 2021 to 2023. She filed her initial lawsuit on June 3, 2024, in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination after what she described as an unfair firing in October 2022. She said she had agreed to a $3 million severance package that West never paid, according to Rolling Stone.

The case escalated when Pisciotta filed an amended lawsuit adding accusations of stalking, sexual battery, sex trafficking, and false imprisonment. That amended complaint, obtained and reported by Page Six, alleged that West drugged and sexually assaulted her at a studio session hosted by Sean Combs. West's legal representative had previously called Pisciotta's allegations "baseless" and accused her of "blackmail and extortion" after he rejected her sexual advances.

Under the terms of the settlement, Pisciotta must file a dismissal request within 45 days. A follow-up court hearing in the case is scheduled for September 28.

The settlement closes one of several legal matters West has faced in recent years. It also connects, through Pisciotta's amended complaint, to the broader legal shadow cast by Sean Combs, who faces his own separate federal criminal case. No allegations against Combs were adjudicated through this settlement, which resolved only the dispute between West and Pisciotta.
