The CW Renews Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and Police 24/7 for New Seasons

The CW has handed fresh season orders to three of its strongest-performing unscripted series: Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and Police 24/7. Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit each get a third season, while Police 24/7 lands a fourth, all with new one-hour episodes, according to Deadline.
The three shows rank among The CW's top five entertainment programs for the 2025-26 season. Collectively, they have reached more than 31.4 million viewers since their debuts, per Nielsen figures cited by Deadline. All three have also secured syndication clearances — meaning local stations agreeing to air them — in more than 85% of the United States.
Scrabble, hosted by Emmy winner Craig Ferguson, has contestants playing word-based games to add words to a giant board at the centre of the set. It is produced by Hasbro Entertainment, The CW, Mattel Television Studios and Lionsgate Alternative Television. Trivial Pursuit, hosted by LeVar Burton, tests contestants across a wide range of knowledge categories; Hasbro Entertainment, The CW, Lionsgate Alternative Television and Talpa Studios produce. Police 24/7 follows officers on patrol and is executive produced by SallyAnn Salsano through her Mulholland Media banner.
Before the new seasons arrive, viewers still have more to watch from the current cycles. The second seasons of Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble return to The CW with new episodes on Thursday, October 1, as part of the network's fall schedule. Those second seasons were originally announced in May 2025 as 30-episode orders, according to Nexstar, and their midseason run kicked off on January 22, 2026, per The Futon Critic.
The CW also renewed the comedy-drama Wild Cards for a third season as part of its midseason 2026 lineup, as reported by Just Jared and TV Series Finale.
For a network that has leaned heavily into unscripted and acquired programming in recent years, the renewal of three game-and-docuseries titles sends a clear signal about what is working on the schedule. The numbers back it up: 31.4 million cumulative viewers across the trio is a substantial reach figure for a broadcaster of The CW's size, and the breadth of syndication clearances means these titles are landing on screens well beyond the network's own primetime slots.
The new season orders keep Ferguson, Burton and Salsano's production team in business with The CW into the 2026-27 cycle. Airdates for the freshly ordered seasons have not yet been announced.
