Vicki Wickham, who managed Dusty Springfield for 13 years and guided the career of Labelle, died on 31 July 2026 in New York. She was 87.

Her death was announced by the official Dusty Springfield Facebook page, which confirmed the date and location. She was born on 23 March 1939, according to The Telegraph (Telegraph).

Wickham's working relationship with Springfield spanned over a decade, during which Springfield released some of the most enduring recordings in British pop, including the 1968 album Dusty in Memphis. The management arrangement — a role in which Wickham oversaw Springfield's business affairs, recording commitments and public profile — placed Wickham at the centre of a transformation in how popular music was sold, presented and staged in Britain and the United States.

Beyond Springfield, Wickham managed Labelle, the American group whose 1974 single "Lady Marmalade" reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. The New York Times confirmed her work with the group (NYT).
