Morgan Wallen's new single "Been By Now" has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Streaming Songs chart, earning 26.4 million chart-eligible streams in the United States in the week ending July 30, according to the data firm Luminate (Billboard).

The chart, dated August 8, gives Wallen his sixth No. 1 on Streaming Songs — a chart that ranks the most-streamed tracks across all platforms in the US. His first reign came with "Last Night," which held the top spot for 19 weeks in 2023. His most recent leader before "Been By Now" was "What I Want," a collaboration with Tate McRae that spent six weeks at No. 1 between May and July 2025.

"Been By Now" is a standalone single, released on July 24 — the first day of the new chart's tracking week. Wallen debuted the song live at a concert in Baltimore and revealed its title and release date to the audience there, Billboard reported on July 19.

While the song topped the all-genre Streaming Songs survey, it stopped short of the summit on two other major charts. On the Billboard Hot 100 — the weekly ranking of the most-consumed songs in America, blending streaming, radio airplay and sales — "Been By Now" entered at No. 2. It also started at No. 2 on Hot Country Songs. Both charts were held by Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas," which notched a 16th week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 (Billboard).

Still, No. 2 marks Wallen's highest rank on either the Hot 100 or Hot Country Songs in 2026.

On the Country Streaming Songs chart, a genre-specific version of the streaming tally that launched in 2013, "Been By Now" entered at No. 1. It is Wallen's 20th leader on that list — nearly triple the count of his next closest competitor. Taylor Swift holds seven Country Streaming Songs No. 1s.

Wallen's older hits continue to circulate on the Streaming Songs chart as well. "What I Want" sat at No. 32 on the latest tally with 7.8 million streams, up 5%. "Last Night" appeared at No. 36 with 7.5 million streams, up 3%.

The new single's arrival has coincided with renewed activity for Wallen's fourth studio album, I'm the Problem. The album returned to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — the weekly chart that ranks the most-consumed albums in the US, measured in equivalent album units — for a 14th week. Billboard reported that the album's latest stint at the top was benefiting from publicity and promotion around "Been By Now," even though the single does not appear on the album (Billboard).

For Wallen, the chart dated August 8 captures a familiar pattern: a new release drawing fresh attention even as his catalogue keeps streaming at scale.
