Olivia Rodrigo Visits Planned Parenthood Ahead of Daisy Chain Fields Festival

Olivia Rodrigo spent the days before her Daisy Chain Fields festival inside the offices of Planned Parenthood in Los Angeles, meeting the people who run the organisation and learning how its work reaches patients.
Planned Parenthood posted clips on 4 August 2025 of Rodrigo in conversation with Jodi Hicks, president of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, and Rachel Rodriguez of the organisation's Los Angeles branch. The visit also took Rodrigo to the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she spoke with legal experts fighting for women's rights in the courts, according to Billboard.
The timing is no accident. Rodrigo announced in June 2025 that she would launch the Daisy Chain Fields festival on 29 August in Irvine, California, with an all-women lineup including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Stevie Nicks and KATSEYE. Every dollar of proceeds from the festival will go to organisations such as Planned Parenthood that advocate for and provide resources supporting the health and well-being of women and girls.
Rodrigo's relationship with Planned Parenthood is not new. She received the organisation's Catalyst of Change award in 2025, and during her Guts World Tour her Fund 4 Good initiative — which funnelled a portion of ticket proceeds to local abortion funds — raised more than $2 million for reproductive rights. Her advocacy on the issue dates back further: in May 2022, when a leaked draft opinion signalled the Supreme Court's intention to overturn Roe v. Wade, Rodrigo spoke out from the stage mid-performance and joined Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish and Megan Thee Stallion in a Planned Parenthood press release condemning the planned reversal of the ruling.
On the music side, Rodrigo's third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the chart that ranks the most-consumed albums in the United States each week. The album produced the Billboard Hot 100-topping single "Drop Dead," the chart that tracks the most popular songs across all formats.
For fans, the festival visits offer a window into how seriously Rodrigo has folded advocacy into her touring operation. Fund 4 Good was not a one-off gesture tied to a single news cycle; it ran across an entire world tour and is now extending into a standalone event whose entire proceeds are earmarked for women's health organisations. The Planned Parenthood and Center for Reproductive Rights meetings suggest Rodrigo is using the build-up to Daisy Chain Fields not just to promote the festival but to engage directly with the groups it is designed to fund.
