Two of the executive producers behind Netflix's Ginny & Georgia are joining forces on a slate of scripted originals aimed at the young adult market. Jenny Daly's Studio82 and Happy Accidents, co-founded by Holly A. Hines, will co-develop, co-finance and produce a range of YA-focused titles under a strategic partnership, Deadline reported on 5 August 2026.

The pairing brings together producers with deep resumes in the demographic. Daly is a former president of Critical Content and A. Smith & Co. Productions, two established unscripted outfits. She launched Studio82 earlier in 2026 with two divisions: one focused on scripted YA projects and another developing unscripted work for creators and celebrities.

Hines co-founded Happy Accidents with Eric Jarboe. The company, which opened its doors in Los Angeles in April 2024, covers development, production, financing and distribution across films, scripted and unscripted series, documentaries and formats, per Screen Global Production and World Screen.

Daly and Hines already share a credit: both are executive producers on Ginny & Georgia, the Netflix dramedy that is currently filming its fourth season.

Happy Accidents has its own YA pipeline in motion. It is producing Gnomes, starring Asa Butterfield (Sex Education), for Disney+ in the UK. It is also developing Violent Delight, from writers Asha Michelle Wilson (American Horror Story) and Tyler Hansen (S.W.A.T.), which offers a contemporary reimagining of Shakespeare's most iconic characters.

Studio82, meanwhile, has been building its own roster. On the YA front it is developing projects with the Neese brothers, producers of Freeform's Cruel Summer and Netflix's The Umbrella Academy. It is also working with Veritas Entertainment's Peter Jaysen and Alan Gasmer, whose credits include the Timothée Chalamet Bob Dylan film A Complete Unknown.

Neither company has announced specific titles, episode counts or network and streaming partners for the joint slate. The partnership is structured to cover development through production and financing, meaning the two companies would carry the projects from early scripts through to finished episodes before shopping them to buyers.

For viewers who have made Ginny & Georgia one of Netflix's most-watched returning series, the link is a straightforward one: the people deciding what that show becomes next are now also deciding what comes after it. The YA space is crowded, but the credits behind this slate — Cruel Summer, The Umbrella Academy, A Complete Unknown — span streaming, cable and film, which gives the partnership reach across the places young audiences actually watch.
