Fubo reported $1.482 billion in global revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, up from $1.074 billion a year earlier, and narrowed its net loss to $25.7 million from $38.0 million in the same period of fiscal 2025. The results landed on August 5, 2026, the day the live-TV streaming service had scheduled for its Q3 earnings release. (Fubo investor relations)

Total subscribers rose 2% to 5.75 million, with 25,000 added on a sequential basis. Fubo described its North America subscriber count as a record for a third quarter. The quarter also captured a lift from the 2026 World Cup: Telemundo's Spanish-language broadcasts were added to Fubo's lineup through a carriage deal, meaning a distribution agreement with the network, struck just before the tournament began in June. (Deadline)

The quarter is the first reported under Alisa Bowen, who became CEO on July 10, 2026, succeeding co-founder David Gandler. Gandler had led Fubo since launching the company in 2015. (Fubo investor relations)

Bowen inherits a company that is now majority-owned by Disney. Disney took a 70% stake in Fubo in 2025 as part of a settlement resolving an antitrust lawsuit over Venu Sports, a joint venture backed by Disney, Fox Corp. and Warner Bros. Discovery that never launched. (Deadline)

Fubo's loss per share came in at 25 cents for the quarter, better than analysts had expected. On a pro forma basis, meaning adjusted as if the Disney transaction had already been in effect for the comparison period, revenue was flat with the prior year. (Deadline)

The Disney relationship looms over Fubo's next chapter in another way. Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro said on Disney's own earnings call that the company is working on integrating Hulu and Hulu + Live TV into the Disney+ app. Hulu + Live TV competes directly with Fubo in the virtual pay-TV market, the business of delivering cable-style channel bundles over the internet. (Deadline)

For the people behind the screen, the numbers carry a straightforward signal. A narrower loss and a subscriber record buy time — for the engineers maintaining the streams, the negotiators cutting carriage deals and the sports fans who tuned in for the World Cup and may or may not stay. Bowen's task is turning a quarter helped by a tournament into a business that holds its audience between them.
