Drake Hands Out $1,000 to Every Woman at Door, Then Gives Away Cars and Six-Figure Cash at Toronto Event

Every woman who walked into Drake's Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event at Toronto's Casa Loma mansion on Tuesday, August 4 received $1,000 in cash as a welcome gift, according to social media posts documented by Billboard.
That was just the door gift. Inside the third annual edition of the event, Drake gave away cash prizes of $50,000 and $100,000 to individual attendees, and raffled off luxury cars — including a brand-new BMW won by one guest. Toronto Raptors reporter Kayla Grey won a Mercedes-Benz G-wagon, a vehicle with a starting price well into six figures.
Casa Loma, a Gothic Revival landmark in midtown Toronto, served as the venue for the evening. The mansion is a familiar setting for high-profile Toronto events, and Drake has hosted Strong Women, Stronger Drinks there across all three of its editions.
Drake told attendees he started the event after attending one called "What Women Want" around 2007-2008, before his music career took off. He said that earlier gathering left an impression on him and inspired him to create his own version years later.
The total value of the cash and prizes distributed on the night has not been formally tallied by the event's organisers. Between the per-person welcome gifts, the six-figure cash prizes, and at least two luxury vehicles, the outlay runs well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
For context, Drake has a well-documented history of large public giveaways, from paying off grocery shoppers' bills to funding community centres — but Strong Women, Stronger Drinks is the only one he has turned into a recurring annual event, now in its third year.
