Liverpool have signed Spanish midfielder Natalia Ramos from CD Tenerife Femenino on a permanent deal, subject to visa approval and international clearance (BBC Sport).

The 27-year-old becomes Liverpool's sixth signing of the summer, following Mao Itamura, Vivien Endemann, Sara Agrez, Mari Ward and Khiara Keating through the door. That half-dozen reshapes a squad looking to push on after a Women's Super League season that promised plenty without quite delivering the finish the club wanted.

Ramos brings serious pedigree. She made more than 200 appearances for Tenerife, including 30 in Spain's top flight last season, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists from midfield. For a player operating in the engine room — the part of the pitch where the game is won and lost through pressing, passing and positional discipline — those are useful numbers.

She also has a winner's medal from the 2017 Women's European Under-19 Championship in Northern Ireland, where she was part of the Spain squad that took the title. Ramos represented her country at Under-17 and Under-19 level, building her game in the same Spanish youth system that has produced a generation of technically gifted players now scattered across Europe's biggest leagues.

For fans, this means Liverpool are not standing still. Six signings in one window is a clear signal of intent — the kind of overhaul that suggests the coaching staff identified specific gaps and moved to fill them. Ramos, with her top-flight experience and international background, looks like a piece designed to add control and creativity in the middle of the park.

The deal is not yet fully complete. Visa approval and international clearance — the administrative steps required before a player from outside the UK can officially register — still need to come through. But the agreement is permanent, and Liverpool have announced it with confidence.
