Variety hosted its annual Power of Young Hollywood party on 5 August at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills, with Disney+ presenting and four cover stars taking the honours: pop singer Tate McRae, songwriter Sombr, and actors Tyriq Withers and Malachi Barton (Variety).

The evening was emceed by Mario Lopez and his 12-year-old son Dominic, and hosted by Variety co-presidents Dea Lawrence and Ramin Setoodeh, the latter also serving as the publication's co-editor-in-chief (Variety).

McRae received her honour from Madison Beer, who presented the Triple Threat Award — a recognition for performers working across music, performance and more — to the 23-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter (Variety).
