THQ Nordic Closes Its 2026 Showcase With a Tease: 12 Games Still Unannounced
THQ Nordic wrapped its 2026 Digital Showcase on 7 August with a parting message that left viewers counting: the Austria-based publisher has 29 games in development, and 12 of them remain unannounced.
The figure appeared on-screen at the end of the broadcast, confirming what the showcase showed — and, more intriguingly, what it did not. THQ Nordic has 17 titles publicly confirmed for release, a list compiled by VGC that includes Darksiders 4, Gothic 1 Remake, Titan Quest 2, Wreckfest 2, and Epic Mickey Rebrushed (VGC, 8 August 2026). The remaining dozen have no names attached.
Several of those 17 known titles got fresh moments in the spotlight. Expeditions: Samurai, a strategy-RPG, launched into Early Access — a release model where players buy and play a game still in active development — during the showcase itself. Titan Quest 2, which entered Early Access at the previous year's showcase, received a major update. And Wild Blue Skies is scheduled to land on 12 August 2026, just days after the event (Xbox News, 7 August 2026).
New content for existing games arrived as well. The Prisoner, the first of three story DLC (downloadable content) packs for Reanimal — a co-op horror title — is available now. Developer DigixArt, which released Tides of Tomorrow earlier this year, is working on a new game set in the Road 96 universe, and the showcase offered a first look (Xbox News, 7 August 2026).
Two karaoke titles got firm release dates. Let's Sing 2027 and Let's Sing Abba are both set for release on 3 November, with the latter confirmed for Nintendo's Switch 2 console.
For fans, the appeal of the closing message is simple: twelve unnamed projects means twelve reveals still waiting in the wings. THQ Nordic's own website describes the company's approach as nurturing franchises through remasters, sequels, and entirely new entries (THQ Nordic), and a pipeline of 29 games suggests that strategy is running at scale.
The showcase was broadcast live on 7 August 2026 at 12:00 pm PDT, and was accompanied by a Steam sale running from 4 to 10 August, featuring titles such as Gothic 1 Remake and SpongeBob: Titans of the Tide (THQ Nordic, 7 August 2026).
What the 12 unannounced games turn out to be, and when they surface, is a question THQ Nordic has chosen to leave hanging — for now.
