Jess Phillips has held Birmingham Yardley for Labour since her first election on 7 May 2015, making her one of the longer-serving members of the 2015 intake still sitting in the Commons.

Phillips retained the seat at the July 2024 general election, returning to Westminster as part of Labour's substantially enlarged parliamentary majority. Birmingham Yardley — a constituency covering parts of east Birmingham — has been her sole parliamentary seat throughout; she has not represented Birmingham Northfield or any other division.

Her continuous service from May 2015 to the present places her tenure at just over eleven years.
