The UK Says No to Pausing AI Datacentres — Here's Why It Matters

The UK Labour government has rejected Green party demands to temporarily ban the construction of AI datacentres. A government spokesperson warned that a pause "would be a disaster for jobs and national security" and would leave Britain relying on other countries for the computers that handle sensitive health and defence data.
