Backstreet Boys Add Three New Year's Sphere Shows to 'Into the Millennium' Residency
The Backstreet Boys will ring in 2027 at the Las Vegas Sphere, adding three New Year's shows on Dec. 31, Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 to their 'Into the Millennium' residency, according to Billboard. The group announced the additional dates on Monday, Aug. 10, with the five members — Nick Carter, Howie D, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson — confirming the news in a video on their official Facebook page.
A release cited "continued fan demand" as the reason for the extension. The residency, which celebrates the group's 1999 album Millennium, has been running since July 2025. Millennium spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — the magazine's flagship album chart — and the Sphere show builds its visual concept around that era.
When the residency launched in summer 2025, the Backstreet Boys became the first pop act to headline the Sphere, the immersive venue known for its wraparound screen and advanced audio system. Since then, they have performed for an estimated 750,000 fans across 47 sold-out shows, according to Billboard.
The group has been making pop music for more than three decades, as noted on the Sphere's artist page. The Sphere's official show listing confirms the residency has been extended into 2026 (Sphere).
For fans looking to attend the New Year's run, there are three ticketing windows. A Backstreet Boys Fan Club presale begins at 10 a.m. PT on Aug. 18, followed by an artist presale at 10 a.m. PT on Aug. 19. The general on-sale opens at 10 a.m. PT on Aug. 21 via backstreetboys.com.
That staggered structure is standard for major residencies — fan club and artist presales reward the most committed buyers with early access before remaining inventory goes to the wider public.
