Travis Barker Documentary 'Louder Than Fear' Lands on Hulu and Disney+ This Week
A documentary tracing Travis Barker's survival of a fatal 2008 plane crash and his path back to the stage arrives on Hulu and Disney+ on August 13.
'Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear' is co-directed by Justin Krook and Michael Dwyer and produced by Media Weaver Entertainment, according to Hulu's press page. The film debuted at the Tribeca Festival in New York before its streaming release, Rolling Stone reported on August 11.
The trailer centres on the September 2008 plane crash that killed four people: Barker's assistant Chris 'Lil Chris' Baker, his bodyguard Charles 'Che' Still, and the aircraft's pilot and co-pilot. Barker and Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein survived. Goldstein died the following year from an accidental drug overdose.
Barker discussed the documentary on the podcast 'On Purpose With Jay Shetty', according to Rolling Stone. The film also chronicles Barker and Kourtney Kardashian's efforts to build a family, as described on AOL, covering what the listing calls their intimate struggles and triumphs.
Appearances in the documentary include the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Barker's Blink-182 bandmates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, and Kardashian. Hulu confirmed the August 13 premiere date at its second-annual Get Real House Event in April 2026 and has since promoted the film across its official channels, including a Facebook video posted on August 7.
For bundle subscribers, the documentary streams on Hulu on Disney+, the combined app experience for customers who pay for both services. Hulu lists it as a Hulu Original on its official schedule.
The release has drawn wider attention ahead of its premiere. The Associated Press featured 'Louder Than Fear' in its streaming roundup for the week of August 10–16, AP News noted on August 10.
