Nissan Turns Car Grilles Into Grillz for Formula E Finale in London

Nissan's performance division, Nismo, has turned some of its most recognisable car grilles into grillz — the removable jewelled tooth covers worn by everyone from hip-hop artists to Olympic athletes — in collaboration with a Peckham-based jewellery studio called Loud Mouth LDN.
The four-piece collection, designed and crafted by Loud Mouth LDN founder Reece Garcia, was commissioned to mark the FIA Formula E World Championship finale, held at ExCeL London as the closing rounds of the 2025/26 season. Visitors to the event could enter to win one of the bespoke pieces, which were on display throughout the finale weekend (Dezeen).
Each set of grillz takes its design cues from a specific Nissan model. One piece mimics the Formula E GEN3 Evo race car, cast in silver with red enamel outlines and a white panel embossed with cherry blossoms. Another channels the Z GT500, with a red enamel base and black-and-yellow detailing matching that car's colour scheme. The remaining two draw on the R34 Skyline GT-R and the R34 Pennzoil — the former in glossy blue enamel, the latter in yellow tones. All four snap over the teeth as standard grillz do (NISMO).
Nismo described the set as a one-off collection of bespoke pieces. The project was first announced on Nismo's own news page on 6 August 2026, with Nissan's corporate newsroom following with a press release on 10 August (NISMO; Nissan Newsroom). According to Carbuzz, the grillz were displayed at a London department store before appearing at the Formula E finale (Carbuzz).
The London E-Prix, comprising Rounds 16 and 17 of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, served as the decisive Season 12 finale, with the Nissan Formula E Team competing on its home circuit (Nissan Newsroom, US).
For a sport still building its audience, the collaboration sits at an unusual crossroads — motorsport engineering, street jewellery and brand marketing, all meeting in a piece small enough to fit on someone's teeth. Whether the grillz end up with collectors, racing fans or someone entirely unexpected, Nissan has at least made sure its grilles got one more outing.
