The robots are clocking in together. FarBridge has announced Job Simulator: Human Relations, a four-player cooperative game that sends players — piloting robots, not humans — through a virtual eight-hour shift of workplace tasks. GameSpot

The original Job Simulator, developed by Owlchemy Labs, was a single-player virtual reality hit set in the year 2050, where robots have replaced all human jobs and players step into a simulator to learn what it was like "to job." It supported full hand tracking, letting players use their actual hands to interact with objects. Human Relations takes that premise and opens it up to a group.

FarBridge, the studio behind Homeworld: Vast Reaches, is building the new game. Studio CEO and founder Patrick Curry said the campaign lets FarBridge develop the game with players involved from the start, rather than waiting until launch. GameSpot

To fund development, FarBridge launched a Kickstarter campaign seeking US$150,000. Backers can expect invitations to private playtests, exclusive development updates, and VIP Discord access. The "employment package" tier starts at US$10, with higher tiers adding a Steam copy of the game, in-game recognition, and the chance to design a JobBot face or a corporate motivational poster — those satirical workplace posters the original game spoofed so well.

Stretch goals tied to the campaign would expand Human Relations with additional disasters, customisation options, new jobs, and more.

For fans of the original, the shift to cooperative play is the headline change. Where the first game was a solo comedy of workplace errors, Human Relations turns that into a shared one — four robots stumbling through tasks together, which is either the spirit of teamwork or the fastest route to chaos a virtual shift has ever seen.

The Kickstarter is live now, and the campaign page details each tier and its rewards.
