Jamila Woods Announces '10 Years Of Heavn' Tour
Jamila Woods will celebrate the tenth anniversary of her debut album Heavn with a six-date US tour this November and December, she announced on 11 August 2026.
The tour, titled '10 Years Of Heavn', opens at Los Angeles' Lodge Room on 16 November and closes with a hometown show at Chicago's Thalia Hall on 6 December. In between, Woods plays San Francisco's August Hall on 18 November, Portland's Wonder Ballroom on 19 November, Seattle's The Crocodile on 20 November, and New York's Music Hall of Williamsburg on 22 November. Woods broke the news on Instagram, where she wrote that the original SoundCloud version of Heavn was "born" ten years ago and called the album her "first child." The record first surfaced on the streaming platform in 2016 before receiving a wider release through Jagjaguwar, an independent label based in Bloomington, Indiana.
Heavn arrived as a deeply personal project. Jagjaguwar's release page describes Woods as drawing on Lucille Clifton's poetry, letters from her grandmother, and late-1980s post-punk — a mix that placed a Chicago poet and singer in a soundworld shaped as much by literary lineage as by music. The label's notes frame the album as finding Woods "hopeful and exploratory, looking along the edges of resilience and exhaustion for measures of joy."
For fans, the anniversary tour offers a chance to hear that material live in intimate rooms. The venues on the itinerary are mostly in the 500-to-1,000-capacity range, consistent with the scaled-down settings Woods has favoured on previous runs. The tour also follows her European dates at London's Jazz Cafe and Paris's La Bellevilloise, both listed for July 2025 on ticketing platforms.
