Framework Brings Its Dance Event Expertise to Miami for Art Basel 2026
Southern California dance event producer Framework will make its Miami debut this December, partnering with local promoter unKommon events for a multi-day programme during Art Basel week.
The centrepiece is a December 4 show headlined by ANOTR, the Amsterdam-based electronic duo whose recent Ultra 54 collaboration "Talk to You" spent consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the WARM Global Dance Radio chart, a syndicated airplay ranking for dance music worldwide. The show takes place at Watson Island Park, a never-before-used venue on an island in Biscayne Bay between South Beach and downtown Miami. Tickets for the ANOTR show are available via Dice, the ticketing platform. The full Framework x unKommon Art Week Miami 2026 programme runs December 2–6, open daily from 11am to 11pm, with email sign-ups being collected through FAMESpace.co. As part of the week, artist okudart will take over Oxford Street with a collaborative audiovisual installation.
The Miami launch is part of a broader expansion for Framework, which until now has operated primarily across Southern California. Founder Kobi Danan told Billboard about the company's push into new markets. On October 30, Framework will coproduce a show near Phoenix headlined by Chris Stussy, working with Arizona promoter Relentless Beats — Framework's first event outside California. The company also maintains an ongoing booking and programming relationship with The Concourse Project, a venue in Austin, Texas.
Back home, Framework produces shows in transformed spaces across Los Angeles: the historic Sears Building in Downtown, Hollywood Boulevard takeovers, the seasonal club Reframe, the nightclub Sound, and the annual Coachella-adjacent party Framework In the Desert.
For Miami's dance music audience, the arrival of a Southern California producer with a track record in unconventional venues signals fresh competition during one of the city's busiest cultural weeks. Art Basel Miami Beach, the annual art fair that draws collectors, galleries and visitors from around the world, has long doubled as a major nightlife moment — and Framework is betting that a never-used waterfront space and a chart-topping headliner will give it a foothold.
