Dara Huang Shares Diamond Ring Photo, Sparking Engagement Speculation

Dara Huang, the 43-year-old American architect and former fiancée of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has shared an Instagram photo showing a diamond ring on her ring finger, accompanied by the caption "Kinda chic to still believe in love." The post, published on 13 August 2026, drew comments including "Beautiful ring set!" and "Congratulations Dara!" from followers (Hello!).
Whether Huang is engaged or already married is not clear from the post itself. News outlets including GB News and AOL reported that she had sparked engagement speculation after appearing to reveal the ring in a new social media post (GB News; AOL). The coverage linked the speculation to her former partner, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who is now married to Princess Beatrice.
Huang and Mapelli Mozzi were together for more than three years and engaged before calling it off in 2018. They share a ten-year-old son, Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, known as Wolfie, born in 2016. Wolfie splits his time between his mother's London home and his father's residences at St James' Palace and in the Cotswolds (Hello!).
Mapelli Mozzi began his relationship with Princess Beatrice in late 2018 and announced their engagement in September 2019. The couple married in a private ceremony at Windsor in July 2020. Beatrice became stepmother to Wolfie at that time. She and Mapelli Mozzi have two daughters together: Sienna, four, and Athena, one (Hello!).
Huang has kept a relatively low public profile on social media. Her most recent post before this week's ring photo was a belated Thanksgiving message on 5 December 2025, in which she expressed gratitude for friends, family, work, and health (Instagram). The ring photo marks her first public post in over eight months.
For a family whose lives have intersected with the royal household, a single Instagram caption carries more weight than most. Huang's followers will be watching to see whether a formal announcement follows — or whether the ring speaks for itself.
