Shay Rudolph Joins Off Campus Season 2 as Summer Di Laurentis
Shay Rudolph has been cast as Summer Di Laurentis in the second season of Prime Video's college soap Off Campus, joining a series that arrived with one of the platform's biggest debut audiences on record.
Rudolph will play the sister of Dean Di Laurentis, portrayed by Stephen Kalyn. The actors revealed the casting themselves in an Instagram post, with the news confirmed by Deadline on 13 August 2026. Season 2 shifts its central romance to Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and Dean Di Laurentis, meaning Rudolph's Summer arrives at the heart of the storyline the new season is built around.
Off Campus is based on Elle Kennedy's bestselling book series, following an elite college ice hockey team and the women entangled in their lives. Series creator Louisa Levy co-showruns and executive produces alongside Gina Fattore. The executive producer roster also includes Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman of Temple Hill, Leanna Billings of Billings Productions, and Neal Flaherty.
The show's first season drew 36 million global viewers in its first 12 days, making it the third most-viewed debut season of any series in Prime Video's history, according to Deadline. Among women aged 18 to 34, it ranks as the streaming service's most-watched series debut of all time — a demographic sweet spot that makes the Season 2 cast additions particularly closely watched.
Series regulars returning for the second season include Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn, Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, and India Fowler. Philipa Soo, a Tony Award nominee best known for her Broadway work, is set to recur.
For Rudolph, the role adds to a busy run. She leads the Holes reboot for Disney+, recently starred in She Keeps Me Young, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2026, and will next appear in the feature film Hot Year. The actress has been building across both streaming and film, and landing a role inside a franchise that already commands tens of millions of Prime Video viewers places her on a noticeably larger stage.
