Netflix has added Malin Akerman, Megan Follows, Nadine Bhabha and Matias Lucas to This Summer Will Be Different, its television adaptation of the Carley Fortune novel of the same name. An adaptation means the book supplies the story and characters for a new screen version.
The casting was reported by Variety on 14 September. All four join as supporting players around an established central trio. Sophie Nélisse, Francesca Reale and Roby Attal lead the series. That structure gives viewers a quick guide to who will be on screen most often.
Akerman will play Aunt Stacy. Follows will play Cherly. Bhabha will play Farah. Lucas will play Carter.
