Christy Knowings, a main cast member on Nickelodeon's sketch-comedy series All That, has died at 46. TMZ first reported her death on 13 August 2026 under the headline "'All That' Star Christy Knowings Dead at 46" (TMZ).

According to TMZ, Knowings suffered an asthma attack on a Friday that left her with brain damage. She was hospitalised in Los Angeles and placed on life support. Her family decided to remove her from it, and she died on a Tuesday night. Variety, ComicBook.com and The Sun each confirmed the circumstances through family members or the initial TMZ report (Variety; ComicBook.com).

Knowings' aunt, Tyleah Joseph, announced the death on Facebook on a Wednesday. Her manager, Al Hill, gave a statement to Variety describing her as multi-talented and dedicated to her work.

Knowings joined All That — Nickelodeon's answer to Saturday Night Live for a school-aged audience — for its fourth season in 1997, alongside Leon Frierson and Danny Tamborelli. She was discovered on the pilot for And Now This, a sketch show produced by Rosie O'Donnell that never made it to series. Knowings remained a main cast member through three seasons, leaving in 2001, and later returned as a guest star in Season 10.

Her time on the show placed her alongside original All That cast members including Amanda Bynes, Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Lori Beth Denberg and Josh Server. Later additions to the cast included Nick Cannon and Gabriel Iglesias.

Beyond All That, Knowings appeared on three episodes of Sesame Street with her twin brother, Chris Knowings, who went on to appear in Nickelodeon's Taina and The Nick Cannon Show. In 2020, she released a folk music single titled "To the World."

Kenan Thompson paid tribute on social media shortly after TMZ's report. "Never could have imagined this day!!" he wrote, calling her "a real one" and "one of the funniest people out here," and adding, "Gonna miss you buddy!!!" (TMZ).

For a generation that grew up watching Nickelodeon in the late 1990s, Knowings was a familiar face during one of the network's most watched stretches — a cast member who held her own alongside performers who went on to mainstream careers. Her death at 46, from an asthma attack, is a reminder of how sudden and severe the condition can be.
