Big Brother UK is coming back this autumn for its 23rd season, and ITV has given the iconic reality show a striking visual makeover ahead of the return.

The channel has replaced the graphic, colourful eye logo that fans have grown familiar with and replaced it with a new, more realistic human eye. ITV's press centre unveiled the redesign under the title "Big Brother Sees It All — Iconic Eye Revealed." The eye has been the show's signature symbol since it first launched in 2000, and each season has historically introduced a fresh variation. This time, the shift from a stylised graphic to something closer to a real eye signals a deliberate visual reset for the new run.

ITV is calling Season 23 the channel's biggest series yet, with an eight-week run planned. AJ Odudu and Will Best will return as hosts, reprising the roles they took on when ITV revived the civilian edition of the format. The show will premiere on ITV2 and stream on ITVX, the network's free streaming platform. Production once again comes from Initial, part of Banijay UK, the production group behind a large share of the Big Brother format's global footprint.

The brand has been pulling serious streaming weight for ITV. The Big Brother catalogue has received more than 157 million streams on ITVX, according to Deadline, a figure that helps explain why ITV keeps investing in new seasons rather than letting the format rest. The show last aired on 14 November, when Richard Storry was crowned the winner of the previous season. That gap between the last finale and the autumn return means fans will have waited roughly ten months for new episodes.

One notable absence from the 2026 schedule: Celebrity Big Brother did not air this year. ITV has not confirmed when the celebrity spin-off might return, leaving the civilian edition as the sole Big Brother offering for now.

For viewers, the takeaway is straightforward. A familiar format is back, with familiar hosts and a familiar slot in the autumn calendar, but wearing a freshly designed face. Eight weeks of eliminations, twists, and late-night conversations are on the way.
