Ahsoka Season 2 Trailer Debuts at D23, with New Episodes Not Arriving Until 2027
The first trailer for Ahsoka Season 2 premiered on Friday at D23 in Anaheim, giving Star Wars fans their earliest look at the next chapter — and a release window that places new episodes on Disney+ in early 2027. That means roughly a three-and-a-half-year gap between the Season 1 finale, which aired in October 2023, and the next batch of episodes. Deadline
Rosario Dawson returns as Ahsoka Tano, the former Jedi navigating a world beyond the known galaxy. Her companion is Sabine Wren, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and together they must cross a strange and perilous landscape to find their way home. Back in known space, their friends face Grand Admiral Thrawn — played by Lars Mikkelsen — and his allies, who aim to drag the New Republic into war. Deadline
The Season 1 finale left several threads dangling. Thrawn escaped via hyperspace with Ezra Bridger secretly aboard his ship, while Ahsoka and Sabine were stranded on the ancient planet Peridea. Season 2 picks up those threads directly. Deadline
Hayden Christensen is back as Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka's former Master. This time he serves as a kind of spirit guide, pushing Ahsoka to confront her past and what may lie ahead. The cast also features Rory McCann stepping into the role of Baylan Skoll, the fallen Jedi last played by Ray Stevenson, who died in 2023.
