Where's Wanda? Season 2 Trailer Puts Wanda in Jail Ahead of October Return
Wanda Klatt is in jail. Apple TV's German dark comedy Where's Wanda? returns globally on October 21, and the exclusive Season 2 trailer starts from that stark image. Deadline published the trailer on September 23. It sets up a very different chapter for the teenager who gives the show its title.
The new season will begin with one episode on October 21. New episodes will then drop weekly through December 9. The season runs for eight episodes in total. Apple confirmed the one-episode launch followed by a weekly release, while UFA lists the eight-episode order.
When Season 2 opens, Wanda is found standing over a dead body. She is taken to jail. Her parents, Carlotta and Dedo Klatt, work to prove her innocence. The trailer previews their investigation into what happened and who else was close by.
Heike Makatsch and Axel Stein return as Carlotta and Dedo. They are joined again by Lea Drinda, Leo Simon and Nikeata Thompson. Makatsch, previously seen in Love Actually, leads a cast that mixes familiar faces with newcomers. The new neighbours, the Kimballs, are played by Sam Riley and Alexandra Maria Lara.
The ensemble around them is large. It includes Harriet Herbig-Matten, Gisa Flake, David Schütter and Palina Rojinski. It also features Suzanne von Borsody, Kostja Ullmann, Devid Striesow and Frederic Balonier, alongside Sascha Geršak, Torben Liebrecht, Aaron Maldonado-Morales and Anton Dreger. All are credited for the second season.
Oliver Lansley created, wrote and executive produced the season. He shares executive producer credit with Nataly Kudiabor and Oliver Ossege. The series is produced by UFA Fiction, the German production company owned by Fremantle, as reported by Deadline.
The series is Apple's first German-language series. Season 1 launched globally on October 2 and released a new episode every Wednesday through November 13, 2024. UFA announced on February 27, 2025 that the show would go into a second season on Apple TV+.
For fans, this means a week-by-week mystery. One episode at a time leaves room to rewatch clues and argue about the Kimballs.
